Back to the drawing board
Wednesday afternoon update: By using the powers of a Sys Admin for purposes of good and not evil, Erik was able to recover my former theme. Thanks, Erik! Now I can do what I do best... procrastinate further on any changes to the theme.
As you can probably see, my blog's theme had difficulties with making the transition to WordPress version 2.0... a lot like people who have difficultly making the transition from 29 to 30 or from the year 2005 to 2006. Erik and I are debating about who's responsible for this lapse since he was the one who applied the update. Then again, his blog made the upgrade with his custom theme intact, which creates problems for holding him responsible. Yeah... it wasn't his fault. I've always claimed that I know just enough to get myself into trouble and I think this is a case-in-point. So, it's back to the drawing board for my theme. I have most of the components I used somewhere, so I think it won't be too difficult to recreate. And this provides me a wonderful opportunity to make changes and try something new.... That, or get myself into more trouble. I guess time will only tell.
