I’ve Been Waiting
I've been waiting for this day since mid-July and I can't believe that it is finally here. The autumnal equinox! Yesterday's 90 degrees and horrific storms evidenced the last hurrah of Summer and provided the perfect precursor to today's cool temperatures. Sitting out on the back porch tonight wearing the boots and fleece make for an undeniably comfortable setting. With the evening coming a little earlier with each day, and the cool, peaceful sleeping conditions each night, I feel as though life is finally slowing down enough to appreciate. Fall allows for such exceptional opportunities to contemplate where I find myselft in many aspects of life. Having spent so many years living by the academic calendar, Fall paradoxically brings for me a feeling of renewal and new beginnings that is usually reserved for Spring. Maybe this paradox is due to my personality and the importance I place on inner reflection and solitude. I don't know. But I do know that I love this time of the year and look forward with great anticipation to the changing colors and all the new opportunities this Fall will bring.
innerring.net
Some of you may have noticed that a few weeks back I created (purchased) the domain name: innerring.net. Because my good friend Erik is still hosting my site, jed.andersonfam.org is still directed to my blog. If you link to my site from your blog or have a bookmark associated to my blog, I would appreciate an update... just to be sure and to keep things up-to-date. :-)
Hopefully, with the new name I'll be inspired to write more. And yet, I don't think I've ever lacked the inspiration, rather the time has seemed to be the issue. We'll see if I can change that.
