tonight is the night of nights
We have finally arrived at THE night... that's right, the first annual Maxwell's American Fantasy Baseball League draft. Magazines have been purchased, stats poured over, spreadsheets created, trash-talking talked, and -- most importantly -- official, highly researched names have brought into existence nine teams that will battle for the coveted title of Greatest Ever. Okay, maybe not EVER, but darn-well close. What players will go in the first round? Who will be the sleeper pick that will propel their team to the top of the heap? Will the "dirty snakes" actually draft Trot Nixon? I guess we will just have to wait and find out.
March Madness
Welcome to my favorite time of the year: First Round NCAA Tournament Time! Spring is in the air, with the remnant of winter hanging around in the guise of snowstorms that drop heavy, wet snow, which will disappear within days; there is a much needed break from the world of academia; and for these first four days, there are "win or you're out" basketball games 12 hours a day. Life is good. ESPN.com has deemed today "Best. Weekday. Ever." and it's kind of hard to disagree. The only thing that is bringing me down a little is the fact that I still have to sit in my cubicle here at work.... At least I have a nice window to look out and see the bright sun!
